OBJECTS OF THE ORGANISATION
PRIMARY OBJECTS OF THE ORGANISATION:
- Comprehensive development activities such as health programmes, education and skill formation, increasing rural employment, foundation of co-operatives of various kinds, organizing the women and youth, formation of leadership and local organization.
- The building of houses for village communities, provision of environmental and protective village services and
- To educate the people in the principle of democracy without being involved in power politics and to develop an independent public opinion on all public issues unaffected by sectional and partisan considerations.
SECONDARY OBJECTS OF THE ORGANISATION:
- Conduct night classes to secure popular recognition on all democratic principles concerning the dignity of the individual and on the basis to combat untouchability, casteism and communalism and secure an increasing measure of social as well as economic equality.
- Develop appropriate local organization in the form of people's committees so as to ensure people's participation in the affairs public issues.
- To co-ordinate the activities of various Associations, Boards or other Agencies, National or International engaged in voluntary or philanthropic, technical and/or other services, in the field of community development, social and economic uplift, relief and welfare activities without distinction of caste and creed.
- To provide such emergency relief of rehabilitation (in areas or circumstances of Natural or other calamities) as can be oriented to intensive development and the eradication of the causes of insecurity, loss or poverty.
- To assist and encourage the participation of students and youth in Social Service and Development Activities and to provide for them wherever training opportunities in the field.
- To on lend to Self-Help groups and other association of persons in villages in India, particularly in Tamilnadu, formed for activities undertaken for the economic, Social educational upliftment of its members.
- To borrow from Central/ State Financial Institutions, Nationalized/ Scheduled Banks, other Government/ Non Government Agencies, both within India and abroad for attainment of the objectives with or without security or the mortgage, hypothecation, lien, pledge of its funds placed in fixed deposit, or in any form as required by the lending institutions.
- To work in the field of drug abuse prevention/ prohibition.
