CARD places a strong emphasis on promoting higher education for girls, focusing not only on education but also on securing job opportunities. The organization encourages girls from underprivileged backgrounds to pursue polytechnic diploma courses, offering them free access to education. This includes covering tuition fees, hostel fees, transport costs, as well as providing books and notebooks at no charge.
In Karur District, CARD has identified 32 girls from economically disadvantaged families in Kulithalai and Krishnarayapuram Taluks. These girls have been enrolled in Sita Rajaram Polytechnic College, Kulithalai. Of the 32, 14 girls are currently in their first year of diploma studies, while 18 have been admitted directly into the second year. Upon graduation, they are guaranteed employment in leading private companies in Chennai, Bangalore, and Coimbatore.
To continue supporting the education of these girls, CSR contributions are essential. Companies interested in contributing can reach out via email at: cardpdk@gmail.com.
The “After School Education and Guidance Centres for Rural Poor Children” Project has received approval from M/s. Alstom Foundation for a duration of one year. The initiative is currently operational in 15 villages within Kulithalai and Krishnarayapuram Taluks of Karur District, as well as in two villages—Sellakarichal and Appa Nayakkanpatti—in Sulur Taluk of Coimbatore District. A total of 20 part-time teachers have been appointed and underwent training to conduct evening classes from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. The project officially commenced on December 1, 2023, and is actively providing after-school education to approximately 600 underprivileged children across the 20 education centers.
CARD successfully set up a Computer Lab at Sita Rajaram Public School (CBSE) in Muthu Nagar, Hiraniyamangalam Mettupatti, Kulithalai Taluk, Karur District, Tamil Nadu. This initiative was made possible through CSR support from OctaFX, New Delhi, and features 15 computers along with two air-conditioning units. The Computer Lab serves as a valuable resource for 300 rural students ranging from 3rd to 10th standards.
Through a CSR contribution from OctaFX, CARD extended support to the most economically disadvantaged students of Sita Rajaram Polytechnic College in Kulithalai, Karur District. A total of 106 students across the first, second, and third years of diploma courses in engineering and technology received textbooks and notebooks. This initiative not only served as an encouragement for these underprivileged students to excel in their studies but also alleviated the financial strain on their parents. Gratitude is extended to OctaFX for their generous support.
To enhance the quality of teaching and instructional methods, CARD contributed two interactive panels to Sita Rajaram Public School and Sita Rajaram Polytechnic College as part of OctaFX’s CSR initiatives. The incorporation of these panels facilitated easier lesson delivery by teachers and sparked student interest through the engaging audio and video effects. Gratitude is extended for the ongoing support from OctaFX.
